Interacting with animals has been shown to decrease levels of cortisol (a stress-related hormone) and lower blood pressure. Today we are going to be talking about pets and how they add longevity to our lives. Pets, especially dogs and cats, can reduce loneliness, increase feelings of social support, and boost your mood. Caring for an animal can help children grow up more secure and active. Pets also provide valuable companionship for older adults. We will also be bringing in essential oils into the conversation and how Jan integrated the use of essential oils into her work.
